Study Techniques
Liam Resende ‘29
Do you want a good study technique? Well here are three ways you can improve your study sessions to do better on tests, quizzes, homework, and probably more tests!
1) Study Buddy
Having a (trustworthy) friend to help you study with assignments is a good study technique, with having assistance on assessments you must do. It can help you with questions you probably don’t know about. It doesn’t also have to be your friend, it can be a tutor, a parent, or a teacher! They will be more than willing to help you with schoolwork.
2) Remove Distractions
If you’re trying to do homework, and you just can’t seem to focus because of something else, try getting rid of that distraction. Trust me, procrastination may not seem so bad at first, but once you realize it’s already been 2 hours without even touching your first assignment, it is terrible. If you remove all your distractions, or isolate yourself where there’s nothing to do (either than your homework), you will be able to plow through your work.
3) Take Scheduled Breaks
Say you’re getting super tired of consistently studying all day. If you don’t take breaks, you will not be able to focus as well, and you may become sick from little rest. Taking small breaks or naps that last around 5-10 minutes will be sufficient for you to keep your rest, and get back on board with your studying.
Doing each of these will crucially help you with your study plan, and doing so will result in good grades and good results!
